100+ Year Old Aging of Wood Retained by Hand Sculpting
The flooring in the open living space is our reclaimed White Oak flooring with a Loba waterbased finish. We left some of the original circle saw markings in the face and eased all the edges to give this unique floor an old world feel. The reclaimed White Oak flooring continues into a custom made stairway system. The curved staircase required a lot of custom pieces so we templated, milled and prefinished each curve and custom piece here at our shop for an exact fit.
The flooring in the bedroom is hand-sculpted, reclaimed White Oak hardwood. The unique finish of this floor is achieved by several steps of sculpting and refining on the face of the wood to achieve the natural aged look that is produced from aging in a barn for more than 100 years. Reclaimed White Oak hardwood was also used to build the custom kitchen island and vanity, each finished to match the flooring throughout this beautiful home.
